Centrica Care Navigators utilizes volunteers in all areas of the organization. Based on a volunteers background, talent and areas of interest, Centrica Care Navigators will provides the necessary training and work closely with you to identify a rich and rewarding volunteer experience.
Examples of how Centrica Care Navigators volunteers serve
Bedside Vigil
Provides comfort for both the patient and/or their loved one during the patients transitional stage. Typically, within the last 24-48 hours of life.
Card Program
Make inspirational cards for patients who could use some thoughtful, uplifting words throughout their time on our service.
Companionship
Provides emotional support and companionship to patients who are in the final stages of life.
Companionship Phone Calls
Call patients to offer words of inspiration.
Arts & Crafts
Provides companionship to a patient that includes a simple art or craft activity.
Haircut
Licensed barber or beautician volunteers provide hair cuts and beard trims.
'Light' Housekeeping
Tidy up for patients or caregivers in our service.
Notarization
Offer your certified notary service to those in our care.
Pet Therapy
You and your pet offer comfort and companionship to those in our service. Also available at our Rose Arbor facility.
Respite
Short-term, in-patient care, designed to give family caregivers a break to recharge.

Capture or record life stories from those in our care for ourStory Catcher series.
